Around Christmas in 1959, Josephine read a story in a Parisian newspaper about an infant found in a dust-bin by a local tramp. She contacted the hospital and arranged to adopt the infant, naming him Noel. The last child of Josephine Baker, Stellina, was adopted in the mid-1960’s.
